Abstract
The personal perspective
Surrogacy is prohibited in Germany and is a subject of controversy. Nevertheless, many German couples make the decision to fulfill their desire to have children with the help of a surrogate mother abroad. In the presentation, on the basis of personal experiences, some challenges, which this path of forming a family brings for those involved in the treatment, will be addressed.
