Vita

Qi You completed his Bachelor's degree in German Studies at Beijing Foreign Languages University (BFSU) in 2018 and then completed a Master's degree with a research focus on German politics and economics at the same school, during which he studied at Heidelberg University between 2019-2020 thanks to an exchange programme. Before completing a second Master's, namely MSc. Democracy and Comparative Politics at University College London, he was a research assistant at BFSU for one year.

Since 2024, he has been a PhD student at Heidelberg University under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Aurel Croissant. His PhD project examines party-military relations in China and Vietnam.
