Course outline
The Faculty of Biosciences is introducing a new international M.Sc. / PhD programme in Molecular Biosciences.
Nearly all of the teaching will be in English. The Molecular Biosciences course offers you an opportunity to continue your academic career in your favourite field of Biosciences. You can choose between eight different main subjects:
- Cancer Biology
- Developmental and Stem Cell Biology
- Evolution and Ecology
- Infectious Diseases
- Molecular and Cellular Biology
- Molecular Plant Sciences
- Neuroscience
- Systems Biology
Each of these is designed to provide both comprehensive and focused education and training in the most exciting fields of modern biological research.
Each main subject represents a special research area in Heidelberg. Your academic training is modelled on the design of Cellular Networks, the cluster recently awarded funding by the German Council of Sciences and Humanities and the German Research Foundation in the framework of the Initiative for Excellence.
Our goal is to give you intensive education, training and tutoring with a strong emphasis on original research, thus providing you with an optimal start-off for the graduate programmes of our Faculty.
